When we set up STOIX in 2021, we felt there was a better, more considered way to approach executive search. Diversity is at the centre of how strong hiring decisions are made. We believe great leaders come from all kinds of backgrounds, and our process is built to find them.

STOIX is a signatory of the Women in Finance Charter. The charter suggests 34% of senior finance roles are occupied by women. We have consistently delivered placements above that average (38% in 2022-23, 39% in 2023- 24).

Three things make the difference:

We challenge the brief. We work with clients early on to shape role briefs, helping remove language that may put people off and making sure it speaks to a broader, high-quality talent pool.

Standardised assessments. Every candidate is reviewed using the same competency framework, focusing on the skills and strengths needed for the role rather than who they know.

DE&I reporting. Clients receive clear diversity insights throughout the search and at placement, including how they are perceived by candidates, helping improve hiring decisions over time.

Sustainability

We believe every organisation can make a genuine difference, and has a responsibility to reduce its impact and give something back. For STOIX, sustainability is about practical, honest action rather than big claims.

We do not always get it right first time. When plans to support a soup kitchen in December 2024 did not work out, we instead donated to Trussell, a food bank charity. Being open about that shift shapes how we approach our B Corp recertification in 2027.

In April 2025, we ran a coastal clean-up in Barcelona during our offsite, and our co-founder Rory chose a local walk over flying to Snowdon, helping reduce our overall carbon impact.
