The Brief
STOIX was retained by HWM thanks to a recommendation from a previously successful partnership with another operating company.
STOIX was tasked to secure HWM’s next Chief Financial Officer with Managing Director succession planning. We began our search for a modern, transformational CFO who has a strong leadership presence and is an agent of change.
The Challenge
Due to the prior incumbent’s retirement planningwhich was not widely communicated, thisappointment was delivered confidentially.
Our Solution
Using our robust retained search methodology we could seamlessly adapt tothe challenge of a confidential hire. We identified over 300 candidatesprimarily through thorough market mapping and direct outreach(headhunting). We then presented the longlist to the client and released therole specification under NDA.
We agreed a bespoke selection process which included a competency andbehavioural assessment and video interviews. HWM then conducted their owninterviews and leadership assessment with the shortlisted candidates. Finally,we successfully managed the offer process and as a result, HWM secured atransformational, modern CFO within the agreed timelines.
